Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the whole milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the flour and baking powder until combined.
- Stir in the chopped apples and set aside.
Cheesecake Layer
- In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Assembly
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.
- Smooth it out, then gently spoon the cheesecake batter over the top.
- Add the remaining cake batter on top, covering the cheesecake layer.
Baking
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely.
Caramel Sauce
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and a pinch of salt over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the sugar melts.
- Once melted, slowly whisk in the heavy cream until smooth.
Serving
- Drizzle the homemade caramel sauce over the cooled cake.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to use different apple varieties or add nuts for extra flair. This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
