  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup cooked rice Leftover rice works well.
  • 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use more cheese for extra flavor.
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth Can substitute with water.
  • Optional: chopped bell peppers or green peas For added nutrition and color.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until the beef is browned.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, paprika, beef broth, and any optional veggies into the skillet. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the oven and let it bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Once out of the oven, let it cool briefly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add spices according to your taste. This dish can also be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
