Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Let sit for a minute after cooking to melt.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Can substitute with corn tortillas for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 cup salsa Use mild or hot depending on preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook your ground beef over medium heat. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Let it sit for a minute.
  4. Warm the tortillas slightly in the microwave for about 15 seconds.
  5. Spread salsa onto each tortilla, then add a generous scoop of the cheesy beef mixture. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  6. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in a baking dish. Spoon any leftover salsa over the top.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve with a side of salsa for dipping and guacamole if desired.

Notes

You can add diced bell peppers or onions into the beef while it cooks for extra flavor. Sprinkle taco seasoning for an extra kick.
