Ingredients
  

Bread and Filling
  • 1 medium sourdough loaf (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Add garlic for extra flavor
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish and flavor
  • as needed Butter, for brushing Optional, for a golden finish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, artichokes, spinach, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until everything is combined.
  3. Carefully slice the sourdough loaf into the top, creating vertical cuts about 1 inch apart without cutting all the way through.
  4. Gently pry the pieces apart and spoon the cheesy mixture into the cuts.
  5. Melt some butter and brush it over the top of the loaf.
  6. Wrap the loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Feel free to swap spinach for other greens or add your favorite spices. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
