Cooking Instructions
- Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions until they're al dente (about 7-9 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix in the cooked chicken and stir it for a minute or two until the chicken is coated in the butter and garlic.
- Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Slowly add in 1 cup of heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally for about 3 minutes.
- Toss in the peas and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fold in the cooked noodles and mix everything until well combined and coated in the sauce.
- Plate your Chicken Buttered Noodles, and if you're feeling fancy, sprinkle on some Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a smoother sauce, let it cook longer. You can also add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition. Let kids help, making cooking a fun family activity!
