Preparation
- If you’re using raw hot dogs, grill or boil them until heated through. Otherwise, microwave them for about 30 seconds.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, pour in the chili and stir occasionally until heated through.
Assembly
- Place each hot dog in a bun, then spoon the chili generously over the hot dogs.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, followed by diced onions and jalapeños if desired.
Final Cooking
- Broil the assembled sandwiches for about 3-5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve immediately with extra mustard or ketchup on the side.
