Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips can be used.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  2. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can also freeze the dough for up to 3 months.
