Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Use at room temperature.
Add-Ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips You can use semi-sweet or dark chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients, then stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. For chewy cookies, do not overbake.
