Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir until blended.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
- Bake for about 9-11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let them sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes can enhance flavors. Experiment with different types of chocolate chips for variations.
