Ingredients
  

For the Cake Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Any brand you love
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg One of the three eggs
For the Creamy Filling
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Smooth or crunchy, your choice!
  • 2 eggs Remaining eggs
  • 1 box (16 oz.) powdered sugar
Toppings
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For sprinkling on top
  • a sprinkle salt To balance the sweetness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Stir until well blended.
  3. Spread the cake mix into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs and mix until creamy.
Baking
  1. Pour the creamy filling over the chocolate cake base.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  3. Bake for about 40–45 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still gooey.
Cooling
  1. Allow your cake to cool for at least 15–30 minutes before cutting.

Notes

Feel free to swap chocolate chips for peanut butter chips or sprinkle crumbled cookies on top before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a special treat!
