Preparation Steps
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Once melted, add the sweetened condensed milk, salt, and caramel sauce to the chocolate. Stir until everything is beautifully combined and glossy.
- Fold in the finely chopped pecans.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball, continuing until all of the mixture is formed into truffles.
- Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until lightly coated. Optionally roll some in crushed nuts or sprinkles.
- For added flavor, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top.
- Refrigerate the truffles for another 30 minutes to set.
Notes
Store your truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen in a single layer for about 3 months.
