Ingredients
  

Cherry Ball Ingredients
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts (your choice) Walnuts, pecans, or almonds work well.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and dried
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, for rolling Can substitute with crushed graham crackers or cookies.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and almond extract. Use a fork to mix until it’s smooth and creamy.
  2. Add in your chopped nuts and mix until they’re well incorporated.
  3. Wrap the cream cheese mixture around each cherry and roll it into a ball.
  4. Roll each cherry ball in shredded coconut until it’s completely covered.
  5. Place the finished cherry balls on a plate and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  6. Once chilled, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store any uneaten cherry balls in an airtight container in the fridge. They last for about a week. These treats can be made up to two days in advance.
