Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook your breakfast sausage links until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside on a paper towel to absorb excess grease.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the cinnamon, flour, sugar, and salt, and stir until just combined.
- Spray a baking dish with cooking spray (or butter it) for easy release.
Assembly and Baking
- Dip each cooked sausage link into the batter until it’s fully coated. Place it on the prepared baking dish. Repeat until all links are in place.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and slightly puffed.
- Serve warm, topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
