Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 2 slices slices of bacon Use thick cut for more flavor
  • 1 large large egg Fresh eggs are best
  • 1 slice slice of American cheese Or cheese of your choice
  • 1 bagel, English muffin, or slice of bread Choose your favorite bread
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For toasting bread
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, flipping once. Once cooked, place on a paper towel to absorb excess grease.
  2. In the same skillet, crack the egg and season with salt and pepper. Cook sunny-side up or flip for a fully cooked yolk.
  3. Place cheese on top of the egg right before it's done cooking to allow it to melt.
  4. Toast your choice of bread in a separate pan with butter until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by layering the bacon, egg, and melted cheese between slices of toasted bread.

Notes

For added flavor, use bacon fat to cook the egg. You can also add veggies like sautéed spinach or avocado slices for a healthier twist.
