Preparation
- Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot. Fill it with cold water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Cook the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Once cooked, drain the water and mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Cooking
- In a separate skillet, cook the sausages over medium heat. Turn them occasionally until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
- In the last five minutes of cooking the sausages, toss in the frozen peas to warm them up and add color.
Serving
- Plate the mashed potatoes, layer the cooked sausages on top, and sprinkle peas around like confetti.
Notes
Consider adding garlic, cheese, or a dollop of sour cream to the mash for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
