Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup Flour Mixed with salt and pepper
  • 2 pieces Eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce For serving
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Set up your breading stations: one for flour mixed with salt and pepper, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
Cooking
  1. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, dip it into the egg, and cover it with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mix.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and pan-fry the breaded chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for another 15-20 minutes.
Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then serve with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of fresh basil.

Notes

For a twist, sprinkle Italian seasoning into the breadcrumb mixture. If you prefer, substitute the marinara with Alfredo or pesto.
