Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 4 slices crispy bacon, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half and half or plant-based cream for a lighter version.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add more if desired.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds a nice color and freshness.

Method

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add your chopped bacon. Cook until it’s crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes.
Sautéing the Mushrooms
  1. Remove the bacon from the skillet, leaving the drippings behind. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened and slightly browned.
Adding the Garlic
  1. Toss in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Incorporating the Cream
  1. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring everything together. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Mixing in the Cheese
  1. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Final Touch
  1. Just before serving, add the crispy bacon back to the skillet and mix everything well.
Serving
  1. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley to garnish.

Notes

Give mushrooms space to brown instead of overcrowding the pan. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. Reheat gently in a skillet.
