Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound steak, sliced thinly (sirloin works beautifully)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Because life’s too short!
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • optional fresh lemon wedges For a zesty kick

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by seasoning the sliced steak with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Cooking
  1. Add the steak slices to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they’re pink and curled. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Lower the heat, pour in the heavy cream, and stir. Add Italian seasoning and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Toss the steak and shrimp back into the skillet, stir, and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes in the sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the top for extra flavor.

Notes

Prep all ingredients beforehand as this dish cooks very quickly. A splash of lemon juice can add freshness to the dish. If the sauce appears lumpy, it's just the garlic; it will blend nicely.
