Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 9 ounces 1 package of fresh ravioli (cheese or spinach filling)
  • 1 cup heavy cream Creamy sauce base
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes Jarred kind works best
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For cheesy goodness
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Garlic enhances flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish Optional but adds a fancy touch

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil. Gently add your ravioli and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes or until they float.
  2. While the ravioli is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the sun-dried tomatoes. Let everything simmer gently for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Once your ravioli is cooked, drain it and gently add it to the skillet with the creamy mixture. Toss together until every ravioli is coated in the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently until cheese is melted and everything is combined.
  6. Plate your ravioli and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For ingredient substitutions, fresh cherry tomatoes work as a substitute for sun-dried tomatoes, and you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Feel free to add spinach or mushrooms to enhance the dish.
