Preparation
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In one bowl, beat the eggs; in a second bowl, place the flour; and in a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
Breading
- Dip each shrimp into the flour, shake off excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Frying
- Heat about ½ inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once hot, add shrimp in batches and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Honey Glaze
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger over medium heat and stir until thickened (about 3-5 minutes).
Serving
- Pour the honey glaze over the fried shrimp and toss until well-coated.
- Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve with rice or noodles.
Notes
Keep an eye on the oil temperature to maintain crispy texture. Fry in small batches for best results. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
