Ingredients
  

For the Ribs
  • 2 pounds baby back ribs or any ribs you prefer
For the Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce choose your favorite; a smoky option works wonders
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • a pinch cayenne Optional for heat

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by giving your ribs a quick rinse and patting them dry.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this blend all over the ribs.
Cooking
  1. Pour half of the BBQ sauce into the bottom of the crockpot. Lay the seasoned ribs in, and drizzle the remaining sauce over the top.
  2. Put the lid on and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. The low setting is recommended.
  3. When the ribs are done, remove them from the crockpot and place them on a baking sheet. Broil in the oven for about 5 minutes for a crispy finish.

Notes

Make adjustments to spice and flavor based on family preferences. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
