Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6 pieces croissants, preferably day-old Use day-old croissants for the best texture. Fresh ones might turn your loaf too soggy!
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Can be substituted with almond extract for variation.
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or berries Optional, but a recommended addition!

Method

Baking Your Croissant Bread Loaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice your croissants into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Gently fold your sliced croissants into the custard mixture.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and pour in your croissant mixture.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let the Croissant Bread Loaf cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Refrigerate the loaf overnight for make-ahead convenience. Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap or foil for up to 3 days.
