Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Layer
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened Use full-fat for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Sift if clumpy.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Whipped to stiff peaks.
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream For added richness.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Pure vanilla preferred.
For the Chocolate Layer
  • 1 cup chocolate graham cracker crumbs Alternatively use traditional graham crackers.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Toppings
  • to taste unit Extra whipped cream
  • to taste unit Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the chocolate graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until they resemble damp sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of your serving dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Slowly add the Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into your cheesecake mixture until it’s beautifully combined.
  4. Start by adding a layer of your cheesecake filling over the chocolate crust. Smooth it out, then add another layer of chocolate crust on top. Repeat this process, alternating layers, until all ingredients are used, finishing with a cheesecake layer at the top.
  5. Top with dollops of whipped cream, and sprinkle some chocolate shavings or cocoa powder as a finishing touch.

Notes

Chill trifle for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. You may customize the crust and substitute ingredients as desired.
