Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Optional: can use lighter cream for fewer calories
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds color
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional) For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season them with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the seasoned shrimp and cook until they turn pink (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  5. Gradually stir in the heavy cream, letting it all come together beautifully for about 5 minutes.
Serving
  1. Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed.
  2. Serve over pasta or rice and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to add more garlic. Large shrimp provide a satisfying bite; adjust cooking time if using smaller shrimp. You can also add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes and squeeze fresh lemon juice for additional flavor.
