Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon instant yeast for quicker rising
Wet Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups warm water room temperature works too

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
  2. Pour in warm water and mix until no dry bits remain.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  4. Flour a work surface and turn out the dough. Fold to shape into a ball.
  5. Line a mixing bowl with parchment paper, place the dough seam-side down, and let it rest for another hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside.
  2. Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the lid and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden.
  4. Once baked, let it cool on a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap or a bread bag. Freezes well when sliced.
