Dough and Base
  • 1 package pre-made pizza dough Store-bought saves time!
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese More cheese can be added as desired.
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce Add more if you like a lot of sauce.
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni Can substitute with any favorite toppings.
  • 1 handful fresh basil Optional for garnish.
  • 1 egg beaten For egg wash.
  • 1 sprinkle flour To keep the dough from sticking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Lightly flour your countertop and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
  3. Using a tree-shaped cookie cutter, cut the dough into tree shapes.
Assembly
  1. Place half of the tree cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each tree, sprinkle cheese, and top with pepperoni or other toppings.
  3. Cover each decorated tree with another tree cutout, pinching the edges to seal.
  4. Brush each tree with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until puffed and golden.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.
  3. Optional: Garnish with fresh basil and additional cheese.

Notes

Assemble ahead of time and refrigerate. Bake just before serving. Customize with favorite toppings!
