  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend) For the best flavor
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 pieces burger buns Toasted if desired
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper For seasoning
  • Your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard) Customize your burger!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by dividing your ground beef into 8 equal portions. Roll them into balls and flatten them into patties (about ¼ inch thick).
  2. Generously season both sides of your patties with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and place the patties on it.
  2. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until they have a lovely crust.
  3. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on top of each, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Assembly
  1. Place two patties on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  2. Top with your chosen toppings and don’t forget the ketchup and mustard.
  3. Put the top half of the bun on and enjoy!
