Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and slice it into rectangles.
- Roll the sausage into small logs about the size of a hot dog and place them on the sliced puff pastry.
- Optional: Sprinkle cheese or your favorite herbs on top of the sausage before wrapping.
- Fold the pastry over the sausage, press edges to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
Baking
- Arrange griddlers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden and flaky.
Serving
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy plain.
Notes
For sticky puff pastry, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before using. Use any leftover sausage by wrapping and baking in the pastry. Suggested dipping sauces include ranch, honey mustard, or spicy ketchup.
