Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, if that’s what you have
  • 1 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
  • as needed favorite pizza toppings pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.
  • as needed olive oil for brushing
  • to taste Italian seasoning optional, but adds extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Brush the cut sides of the bread with olive oil.
  4. Spread pizza sauce generously on each half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Top the pizza with desired toppings.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Slice and serve once cooled slightly.

Notes

You can experiment with flavors using leftover roasted vegetables or lean meats. If cheese bubbles over, it just means it's extra tasty!
