Ingredients

For the Stuffing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the Coating
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko for extra crunch!
Main Ingredients
  • 1 bag Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor)
  • Oil, for frying
  • Optional: dipping sauces like ranch or homemade guacamole Because no snack party is complete without dips!

Method

Preparation
  1. Grab a bowl for mixing, a plate for holding the coated chips, and a frying pan for the magic. This keeps everything organized.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Optionally, add a dash of hot sauce for spice.
Stuffing the Chips
  1. Take a Dorito chip, gently break it in half, and stuff a generous spoonful of cheese in between the two pieces.
Coating the Chips
  1. Dip each stuffed chip into the buttermilk, followed by the flour, and then coat it with breadcrumbs.
Frying
  1. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the stuffed chips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  2. Avoid over-crowding the pan to ensure each chip gets that perfect crunch!
Serving
  1. Place your golden delights on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dips on the side.

Notes

Keep leftover filling to use as a topping for nachos. Experiment with different types of cheese, such as pepper jack for a nice kick. You can prep the stuffed chips in advance and fry them fresh right before serving.
