  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen works
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust for more garlic flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional, for a spicy kick

  • 1 whole lemon, juiced For a zesty punch

Method
 

Preparation
  1. If using frozen shrimp, rinse under cold water to thaw and pat dry with a paper towel.
Cooking
  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Place the shrimp in a single layer in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  4. Flip the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp. Don't overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. You can customize by adding vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
