Ingredients
  

For the Steak and Potatoes
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (or your favorite cut) You can substitute with any preferred cut of steak.
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved Sweet potatoes or Brussels sprouts can be used as alternatives.
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided Divided into portions to use for cooking and basting.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds rich flavor to the dish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to your preference.
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Enhances presentation and adds freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved potatoes with salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Spread the potatoes out on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for about 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the steaks and cook for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Just before the steaks are done, add the minced garlic and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, basting the steaks with the garlic butter.
  5. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. Slice the steaks against the grain and serve alongside the roasted potatoes, drizzling some garlic butter sauce over the top.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Resting the steaks for 5-10 minutes helps to keep them juicy. Use a meat thermometer for accurate steak doneness.
