Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped or your favorite herbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing your baby potatoes and cutting them in half.
Cooking Potatoes
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add some olive oil. Toss in the halved potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they’re golden and starting to soften.
Cooking Steak
  1. Push the potatoes to the side of the skillet and add your steak (seasoned with salt and pepper) to the middle. Sear for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
Adding Garlic Butter
  1. Once your steak is cooked, toss in the butter, minced garlic, and rosemary. Let that butter melt and spoon it over the steak and potatoes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Allow everything to cook together for an extra 2-3 minutes.
Serving
  1. Spoon the garlic butter over your steak and potatoes and serve.

Notes

Don’t crowd the pan for crispy potatoes. You can swap herbs based on preference. This dish reheats beautifully.
