Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs Ribeye or sirloin steak Choose your favorite cut
  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter For rich, creamy goodness
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For cooking
  • ¼ cup Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Lemon wedges For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by letting your steak come to room temperature. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Once the skillet is hot, add the steak. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Use a meat thermometer to check for 135°F.
  2. Transfer the cooked steak to a plate and let it rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Reduce heat to low, add the butter to the pan, and mix everything together.
Serving
  1. Slice the rested steak and arrange on a platter with the shrimp. Drizzle remaining garlic butter sauce and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking shrimp to avoid steaming. Allow the cooked steak to rest for juicier and more flavorful bites. Pair with steamed broccoli or fresh salad for a complete meal.
