  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Basil, oregano, or a blend works well.

  • 1 piece egg, beaten

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.
Coating the Chicken
  1. Dip each chicken breast in the beaten egg, coating it thoroughly.
  2. Roll the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
Baking
  1. Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil or spray lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F) and the crust is crispy.

Notes

Double the batch for feeding a crowd or leftovers. Consider adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Garlic powder can substitute fresh garlic.
