Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 large cucumbers Fresh and crunchy for the salad.
  • 1 small onion (preferably red) For color and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar Provides tanginess to the salad.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar Adds a slight sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste fresh dill Can use dried if fresh is unavailable.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and peel the cucumbers (peeling is optional) and slice them thinly.
  2. Slice the onion into thin rings. Soaking in cold water can reduce the sharp flavor.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and onions.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, and dill.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and onions, tossing to coat evenly.
Marination
  1. Let the salad marinate in the fridge for about 30 minutes to meld flavors and chill.
Serving
  1. Toss gently before serving and enjoy!

Notes
