Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and chop the apples into small pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss until well coated.
- On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into squares, roughly 4x4 inches each.
- Place a tablespoon of the apple mixture in the center of each square and drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling and pinch to seal.
Baking
- Place the bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- Allow the bombs to cool slightly. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Don’t worry if the bombs aren’t perfectly shaped – it’s all about the flavor! Consider adding nuts or raisins to the apple mixture for added texture. Always keep extra caramel on hand!
