Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour in your melted butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the oat mixture into a lined or greased 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the base layer.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce on top of the chocolate layer.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the caramel layer and gently press down.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is gooey.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. For an extra special treat, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
