Ingredients
  

For the Steak
  • 1 lb flank steak Seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For grilling
For the Caprese
  • 2 large tomatoes Sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella Sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves For garnish
For the Balsamic Dressing
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
Grilling
  1. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and grill the flank steak for about 5-6 minutes on each side, depending on your preferred level of doneness.
  2. Once grilled, take the steak off and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
Assembly
  1. While the steak is resting, layer sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on a platter.
  2. Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin slices.
  3. Place the steak slices atop the tomatoes and mozzarella, adding fresh basil for garnish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and honey, then drizzle over the dish.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

If you don’t have a grill, you can use a broiler or skillet. Feel free to customize the ingredients to your taste, such as swapping cheese or adding a splash of lemon.
