Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it’s at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 block cream cheese Make sure it’s softened.
For the Decoration
  • 1 cup green sprinkles Essential for that Grinch aesthetic.
  • red heart-shaped sprinkles For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy and slightly fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the block of cream cheese until blended.
  6. Mix in the green sprinkles until fully integrated into the dough.
  7. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for them to spread.
Baking and Decorating
  1. Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes or until they’re golden around the edges.
  2. Once out of the oven and slightly cooled, top each cookie with a sprinkle of red hearts and any additional sprinkles.

Notes

If the dough is too sticky, chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking. Feel free to add crushed peppermint candies on top for extra flavor.
