  • 2 cups Sticky rice Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 sheet Nori Use for spooky faces or detailing.
  • 1 medium Avocado Mash for creamy filling or slice for decoration.
  • 1 medium Sweet potato Form into balls or mash as a filling.
  • 1 medium Cucumber Use for mummy wraps or topping.
  • 1 cup Fish (Tuna or Salmon) Excellent source of protein; can be made into spicy tuna balls.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the sticky rice according to the package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Wet your hands and take a small amount of rice, shape it into a ball.
  3. Add fillings such as mashed avocado, sweet potato, or fish into the center of the rice ball.
  4. Pinch closed and roll gently to ensure the ball holds together.
  5. Repeat with remaining rice and fillings. Chill in the fridge for 10-20 minutes.
Decoration
  1. Use nori to create faces or other spooky decorations on your sushi balls.
  2. You can use sliced cucumber for mummy wraps or slivers of red pepper for devil horns.
  3. Add black sesame seeds or tiny dots of soy sauce for eyes.

Notes

Experiment with various fillings and decorations to create festive variations. For transportation, layer sushi balls in a container with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
