Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider rolls in half but keep them attached to each other.
- Spread half of the Dijon mustard on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Layer with half of the sliced ham, followed by half of the Swiss cheese.
- Repeat these layers with the remaining ingredients, except the top rolls.
Making the Dijon Onion Butter
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the chopped onion.
- Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in the remaining Dijon mustard, poppy seeds (if using), salt, and pepper.
Assembling and Baking
- Pour the Dijon onion butter mixture over the assembled sliders.
- Place the top half of the rolls back on and brush with more melted butter if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melty and the tops are golden.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
You can substitute ham with turkey or roast beef. For a vegetarian option, use roasted veggies. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
