  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard adds some flair
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds optional
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider rolls in half but keep them attached to each other.
  3. Spread half of the Dijon mustard on the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer with half of the sliced ham, followed by half of the Swiss cheese.
  5. Repeat these layers with the remaining ingredients, except the top rolls.
Making the Dijon Onion Butter
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the chopped onion.
  2. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir in the remaining Dijon mustard, poppy seeds (if using), salt, and pepper.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Pour the Dijon onion butter mixture over the assembled sliders.
  2. Place the top half of the rolls back on and brush with more melted butter if desired.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melty and the tops are golden.
  4. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute ham with turkey or roast beef. For a vegetarian option, use roasted veggies. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
