  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or your personal favorite) Use any preferred nut butter.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Provides natural sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Optional but recommended for flavor.
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseeds or chia seeds Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Add-Ins
  • Dried fruit (cranberries, blueberries, or chocolate-covered raisins) For additional sweetness and texture.
  • Nuts or seeds Add for crunch.
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon For a warm spice flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, dark chocolate chips, ground flaxseeds, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Mix everything together until it forms a sticky, cohesive mixture. If it’s too dry, add more nut butter or honey.
  3. With clean hands, scoop out tablespoon-sized amounts and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  4. Place your bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Once chilled, enjoy the Healthier Treat Bites! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

Customize your Treat Bites by switching up nut butters or adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top. You can also halve the recipe for smaller batches.
