Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, egg, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Peanut Butter Layer
- While the cake is baking, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk in a separate bowl. Mix until creamy and smooth.
- Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top with a fork, then pour the peanut butter mixture over the warm cake.
Chocolate Topping
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer and let it cool completely.
Serving
- Let the chocolate topping set before cutting and serve.
Notes
For added crunch, consider topping with crushed peanuts. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about three days.
