Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, peanut butter, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until everything is well-combined and smooth.
Baking
- Pour this mixture into your prepared baking pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean (or with a few moist crumbs).
- While the cake is cooling, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan just until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
Assembly
- Once your cake is cool, pour the melted chocolate mixture over the top and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top for an extra crunch if you desire.
Serving
- Serve the cake warm with a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can substitute dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor or use crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
