  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2-3 drops food coloring (optional) For color

Preparation
  1. Start by placing your softened butter in a large mixing bowl. Beat it with an electric mixer until it's fluffy.
  2. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, a cup at a time until well combined.
  3. Add in the milk and peppermint extract. Mix until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
  4. Take small pieces of the mixture and roll them into little balls or shape them as desired.
  5. Place formed mints onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Once chilled, enjoy your homemade butter mints!

Notes

Keep the mints cool while shaping. Experiment with different flavors like vanilla or almond. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
