Ingredients

Base ingredients
  • 1 cup cherry preserves for all that cherry goodness
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs for the perfect crust
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder chocolate makes everything better
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar adds sweetness
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened for a rich flavor
Topping ingredients
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips for the ultimate topping
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts pecans or walnuts

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
Make the Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and softened butter until well-combined with a crumbly texture. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Add the Cherry Layer
  1. Spread cherry preserves evenly over the crust using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
Melt the Chocolate
  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Once melted, pour over the cherry layer and spread evenly.
Sprinkle with Nuts
  1. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the melted chocolate.
Chill to Perfection
  1. Chill the pan in the fridge for about 2 hours, or until the chocolate hardens. Once set, slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Don't skip the chilling to allow the chocolate to set. Customize your nuts or omit them altogether based on dietary needs. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
