Preparation
- Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks into halves or quarters based on your preference.
Breading Station
- Set up three shallow bowls filled with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Bread the Cheese
- Dunk each mozzarella piece in flour, then dip in the egg, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered.
Frying
- Heat about an inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add cheese sticks in batches. Fry for about 30 seconds on each side or until golden brown.
Serve
- Transfer cheese sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and serve.
Notes
For best results, use panko breadcrumbs for a restaurant-quality crunch. You can also freeze cheese sticks before frying for future snacks. Pair with marinara, ranch dressing, or spicy sriracha for dipping.
