Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, peppermint extract, and milk. Mix until you have a thick, smooth paste.
- Dust your countertop with powdered sugar, roll the filling into small balls, and flatten them into patties about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Coating
- While the patties chill, melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using the double boiler method in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, covering completely, then place back on parchment paper.
- Return the chocolate-covered patties to the fridge for another 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Serving
- Once set, serve the patties to family and friends, or keep them for yourself!
Notes
If you're in a hurry, drizzle melted chocolate on top instead of fully coating. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
