  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined Use large shrimp for best results.
  • 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted You may use salted butter if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Do not skimp on honey for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning Essential for flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Adds a fresh zing.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference.

Preparation
  1. If using shrimp with shells, peel and devein them, then rinse under cold water and pat them dry.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
  2. Add in the honey and mix until well combined.
  3. Add Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the shrimp when they are pink and opaque, then cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with a fresh squeeze of lemon.

Notes

Cook the shrimp until just opaque to prevent them from becoming rubbery. Pair with a side salad or rice for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, reheating gently.
